George R. Nace is more than a computer support firm; it is home to Mr. Nace himself—a network consultant and natural problem solver. Specializing in information services, George has been an analyst and service manager for more than 30 years, recently re-positioning himself as a respected consultant in the industry. You can find him listed in the Worldwide Who's Who.
George's Background
George Nace was always interested in electronics and computers, even as far back as the '60s when many built their own computers. Upon arriving in California, he took a course called Introduction to Programming, and worked with programmers to learn his first computer language: COBOL. In addition to running a consulting company, Mr. Nace delivers enterprise concepts to small and mid-sized businesses, offers troubleshooting on general connectivity issues, and responses to unique network problems.
Past Experience
Mr. Nace worked for 20 years as a project manager with Xerox, including projects at the highest level of the company for specialized network infrastructure. He also worked as the manager of an IT team that served 20 divisions of Xerox, and his team provided custom services to each of those divisions. Mr. Nace was responsible for interacting with each division individually when fixing problems that concerned their bottom line and was also involved with the development of the Xerox website when it was first hosted. He continued his involvement after it was transitioned from Xerox's research community to the corporate community.
